Running Xen in DLME

During test we are using meta-fobnail which is our custom Yocto layer. meta-fobnail has been described more in-depth in meta-fobnail in DLME. Here we are using Yocto as a base OS because it already provides TrenchBoot's GRUB and Landing Zone which are required to boot Xen and Linux itself to test whether Xen is working.

Build Yocto image and flash it to SDcard.

$ mkdir yocto
$ cd yocto
$ git clone https://github.com/fobnail/meta-fobnail
$ kas-container build meta-fobnail/kas-debug.yml

Build latest Xen version

$ git clone https://xenbits.xen.org/git-http/xen.git
$ cd xen
$ git co RELEASE-4.16.1
$ ./configure
$ make -j$(nproc)

Copy xen/xen file to Yocto boot partition and add following entry to /boot/grub/grub.cfg.

When booting platform, Landing Zone starts first, then Xen, and then Linux.
